• Clovelly is a fishing village in the north of Devon. It has timeless beauty and has not changed much over the centuries. It is sheltered and set on a steep hillside with a spectacular view. Clovelly is famous for its farm donkeys that used to, in days gone by, follow the winding cobble lane up the steep hill to carry goods from the harbour. Today it is still done but to carry children and luggage to and from the ferries.

There is a free large carpark at the visitor’s centre, for those who cannot climb up and down the hill.
There is a Landrover service for those who wish to do a cross-country experience.

The beach is pebbled and small with a waterfall cave as part of its back-drop.

There is a hotel in Clovelly called the Red Lion Hotel with rooms and meals. The quayside is lined with cottages. You can enquire at Devon’s information centre for tourists if holiday cottages Devon is known for, are available at Clovelly.
