  • When I found that my son loves his espresso, I taught him how to make cheap espresso at home so that his money is not wasted on going to coffee houses. He is only a student and sharing a small room with 2 other students. He has 2 more years to finish his graduation course and I know that he works very hard. I bought him a coffee maker that he could use in his room. He would have to spend his money only on coffee grounds and that too, I am quite willing to send a supply every now and then. He has very big plans for life and is quite focused on his goals. I try to make life as easy as possible for him so that he may not worry about money or coffee etc. Now, he can make his own espressos and whenever he wants to without leaving his books or his room.

  • One of the main reasons to use a grill pan in the kitchen is to sear beautiful grill marks into your food. There are a few easy tricks to getting great grill marks that I would like to share.

    Grill marks can be enhanced by making sure your food is dry before it goes into the grill pan. Wipe off any excess marinade or brine with a paper towel before you start grilling. Any surface water is going to cause the meat to steam instead of sear.

    You can also get better grill marks by making sure your food is warmed to room temperature before you grill. A cold piece of meat will more readily stick to the ridges of the grill pan and cause you to have to pull it loose when it is time to flip. In the process of fighting to dislodge the meat your grill marks will get torn or will even be torn off in some cases.

    Finally, make sure the grill pan is being used over medium heat and not high heat. You want your meat to be in contact with the ridges of the grill for at least five undisturbed minutes to allow the marks to properly form. If your pan is too hot the meat will not only sear but will also burn.

  • Have used it many times now and the only question we have is, when do we change the oil? My boyfriend and I used this commercial deep fryer probably ten times since we’ve got it a month ago. I had a lot of challenge with grease pops from my old Emeril. Five stars for a small compact design and that it does not take an excessive amount of oil, just four cups of oil or shortening. It was the hit of the party, so purchase this now! Super easy to clean up. Both products came out perfect, despite a few drinks. The cord attachment has short prongs and the cord is held against them with a magnet in the plug. My wife says it it smaller then the last FryDaddy we had however it works fine for her. I certainly recommend the product. Other orders placed have always come in pristine condition. I love the fact you are able to remove the oil pan and the lid effortlessly.
