  • When the economic climate difficulties hit, it was harder to make ends meet and I realised that I needed more income in order to pay all the bills and support the family. I asked for additional hours at work and they informed me that there were none available. A long time ago I used to be a London cab driver and I still had my license to be a taxi driver. So rather than search and sift through a number of part time jobs, I decided to become a part time taxi driver at the weekends. It took me a while to remember all the short cuts to speed up journeys and remember how to make small talk with my clients but it slowly came back to me. After a few weeks the money was steadily coming in and it was enough to support the family and pay the bills which was of great relief.
